On 19th April 2017 a delegation from Marconi University visited the General Electric Nuovo Pignone Plant located in Florence, in the centre of Italy. The meeting was organized in the framework of an already established collaboration in the field of research between the two parties.
On that occasion, the discussion focused on the opportunity to jointly design specific educational paths able to respond to the request of new competencies arising from the ongoing industry digitalization process. The use of the new enabling technologies linked to the Industry 4.0 phenomenon is indeed revolutionizing the work organization and the set of skills required in the firms and both universities and enterprises have to increasingly cooperate to cope with the new transformations.
