The School of Political Science at Marconi University aims to endow students with specific skills in international relations, as well as in the analysis and management of public policies through an interdisciplinary approach in legal, economic, historical-political and linguistic studies. The professional profile of graduates is suitable for work activities within international institutions and organizations, public administration, public and private companies, communication and non-profit sectors. The School promotes historical, legal, economic and philosophical approaches to the study of political thought and national and international politics, analyzing politics in all its dimensions: international and comparative, theoretical and empirical, abstract and practical. Its research activity focuses mainly on international politics, including international history and international law, international relations, political economy, comparative politics and political thought.
Dean: Prof. Raffaele Chiarelli
Professor Raffaele Chiarelli holds a Bachelor Degree in Law from La Sapienza University of Rome in 1963. Since1967 he has been full Professor of Public Law at the University of Bari and, since 1976, Extraordinary Professor at the same institution. Since 1980 he is a member of the Political and Constitutional Law Institute of La Plata University – Argentina. In 1993-94, he taught Immigration Law and International and European Law in the Advanced Training Course in Intercultural Pedagogy (School of Education Sciences) at the University of Bari. In 1997 he became full Professor of Public Law at the University of Perugia School of Business, where, in 1999, was named full Professor of Economics Public Law. Since 2004 he is full professor of General Theory of Law and Immigration Law at "Marconi University" School of Law.
He is author of numerous articles in the following research fields: Constitutional and Public Law; Economics Public Law; European and Foreign Public Law; Relationship between culture and Constitutional System; Immigration Law. The recent publications by Prof. Chiarelli are "La riforma del pubblico impiego tra politica e amministrazione" (in AA.VV., La privatizzazione del pubblico impiego, Esi, Napoli, 2001; "Le immunità parlamentari nella democrazia dell'alternanza" in "Il Giusto Processo", n. 6 and "Terrorismo e costituzionalismo", in "Il Giusto Processo", n 14-15, 2005).
