Prospective Educational Cooperation between Marconi University and GE Oil & Gas

Prospective Educational Cooperation between Marconi University and GE Oil & GasOn 19th April 2017 a delegation from Marconi University visited the General Electric Nuovo Pignone Plant located in Florence, in the centre of Italy. The meeting was organized in the framework of an already established collaboration in the field of research between the two parties.

On that occasion, the discussion focused on the opportunity to jointly design specific educational paths able to respond to the request of new competencies arising from the ongoing industry digitalization process. The use of the new enabling technologies linked to the Industry 4.0 phenomenon is indeed revolutionizing the work organization and the set of skills required in the firms and both universities and enterprises have to increasingly cooperate to cope with the new transformations.

Kick off meeting of the New Project BEEHIVE to Enhance Higher Education Value-Added and Improve the Employability of the Graduates!

beehive 14 febOn February 14-17 the kick-off meeting of the new European project BEEHIVE “Building Entrepreneurial Ecosystems to Enhance Higher Education Value-Added for Better Graduate Employability” took place in Varna (Bulgaria). The meeting was hosted by the project coordinator Varna University of Management.

During the meeting project, the coordinator introduced the partnership, the project’s activities and the schedule. In particular, the partners discussed the necessary actions to move towards the Entrepreneurial University, the features of the University of the Future, the Entrepreneurial University Concept, the next activities to draw up the National Benchmarking Reports.

All the Project partners, in particular, Varna University of Management (Bulgaria), Mapua Institute of Technology (Philippines), Saint Louis University (Philippines), Saint Louis University (Philippines), IdeaSpace Foundation (Philippines), BINUS University (Indonesia), University of Indonesia (Indonesia), Reykjavik University (Iceland), WestBIC (Ireland), University of Thessaly (Greece) and Guglielmo  Marconi University successfully joined the meeting and appreciated the collaboration and the shared commitment.

The goal of the discussion was to highlightthe most important issues concerning the topic of the breakfast: “Future of the European Union: Dissolution, Survival or Refoundation”. Kick off meeting of BRIGHTS project

Guglielmo Marconi University took part in the kickoff meeting of BRIGHTS Boosting Global Citizenship Education using digital storytelling, held in Brussels on January 19 and 20, 2017. Its aim is to promote the Global Citizenship Education (GCE) in formal and non-formal Educational contexts with the support of digital storytelling techniques. The two-year project, coordinated by TELECENTRE-EUROPE ASIBL, is funded under the Erasmus+ Programme - Key Action 3: Support for policy reform Social inclusion through education, training and youth. During the meeting, all partner organizations introduced their institutions and core missions, discussed and scheduled their future activities such as the work package on Best Practices and Training Need Analysis and the next Training Kit & Adaptation or GCE Online Community.
