School of Arts

The School of Arts at Guglielmo Marconi University aims to explore and interpret the diversity of human activities and creative expression in our ever-changing world, starting from the classical tradition. Traditional subjects such as literature, philosophy, history, classical studies, archeology, and art history have been associated with disciplines such as music, communication, performing arts, visual arts, cinematographic arts and design, allowing students to respond effectively and adapt to the changing social, cultural and professional needs. The School offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses including languages ​​and literatures, fine arts and humanities. The School prides a vast network of international relations, to provide students the opportunity to study abroad.

Romano Lazzeroni

Professor Lazzeroni is the Director of the School of Arts at Guglielmo Marconi University. Prof. Lazzeroni is also head of a glottology study and research course at the University of Pisa. He attended the University of Heidelberg and the University of Bonn, where he obtained the habilitation to teach in 1958. In 1965, he held the chair of glottology at the University of Palermo and, in 1966, at the University of Pisa. Member of the Accademia dei Lincei since 1991. Vice rector of the University of Pisa (1975-1983). Director of the Linguistics Department of the University of Pisa (1983-1985 and 1997-2004). Member (1988-1992) and President (1988-1994) of the National Research Council (CNR) (National Committee of Philology, Linguistics and Philosophy). President of the Italian Society of Glottology (1984-1986). Vice-President of the Italian Association of Sanskrit studies. Honorary member of the Italy-India association. President of the evaluation committee at the University of Pisa. Co-director of «Italian language archives». Co-director of "Indigenous Taurinensia". Professor Emeritus at the University of Pisa since 2005. Title of the order from Chérubins at the University of Pisa. Order of the Italian Mérite for Culture and the Art (Gold Class).
